Winter Projects
The Kentucky Horse Park Maintenance team has been busy this winter preparing the Park for the spring season. Thanks to recent grants awarded by the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation, the Park has been able to invest in several improvements and equipment for the Park.
- New wash stalls will be debuting for the use of all competitors and their horses this spring. The wash stalls were designed with practicality and safety in mind and we cannot wait to see some spotless horses enjoying them!
- The Park is not only a haven for equine enthusiasts, but bicyclists and runners as well. New bike racks and bike/golf cart/pedestrian signs and signposts have been installed around the Park. We are grateful for guests of the Legacy Trail to be able to enjoy our greenspace.
- Keeping up with over 1,000 acres is a lot of work! New equipment was needed to continue to help keep the grounds pristine. Recent grants purchased two mowers, a skid-steer, front loader, and forklift. Be on the lookout for some playful signage on some of the equipment!
The Kentucky Horse Park Foundation is so thankful for our donors who help make these purchases possible. We cannot wait for you to see “donor dollars at work”.
